Therapeutic and Deep Tissue Massage

Therapeutic Massage combines Swedish Massage Techniques such as Effleurage (soothing, gliding) and Petrissage (kneading, lifting, rolling) with deeper tissue techniques.

Therapeutic Massage is beneficial in relieving deep muscle soreness and muscle spasms, as well as allowing an increased range of motion. There are several different types of therapeutic massage in addition to deep tissue massage, such as:

  • neuromuscular massage

  • myofascial massage

  • trigger point therapy

Our therapists will use a combination of techniques depending on what your body needs and what your goals are for the session.  No cookie cutter massages here; everything we do is out-come based!  You and your therapist will discuss your goals (pain relief, relaxation, increased mobility, whatever your goals are!) and your session will be structured just for you!

CranioSacral Therapy

The body’s CranioSacral system comprises the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. It extends from the cranium (skull, face and mouth) down to the sacrum (tailbone area).

Any restrictions in the membranes of this vital system can directly affect all aspects of central nervous system performance. CST practitioners work with the body’s innate healing mechanisms, using the CranioSacral rhythm and system as our guide, to correct the restrictions. CranioSacral Therapy uses very light subtle forces in order to affect positive changes that allow the body to rebalance to a healthier homeodynamic status.
